Proposal Defence

               Students are required to submit four (4) copies of complete research proposal report
               with 3000-5000 words to the UMGSB not later than two (2) weeks before the date of
               the presentation, which includes the following:

                  i)  Introduction (Problem statement, research objectives, research gap)
                  ii)  The importance and relevance of the study;
                  iii)  Summary of literature review;
                  iv)  Description of conceptual framework hypothesis
                  v)  summary of research design and methodology
                  vi)  Preliminary findings / Pilot test (initial findings, if any)
                  vii) Proposed work schedule based on the designated date of submission of thesis
                  viii) Brief bibliography (APA Format)
                  ix)  Plagiarism Report (must not exceed 15 percent)



               a)  If Proposal Defence is deemed  satisfactory, the student may proceed with the
                   proposed research.
               b)  If  Proposal  Defence  is  deemed  unsatisfactory,  the  student  needs  to  present
                   Second Proposal Defence in the following semester.

               Candidature Defence

               Students are required to submit five (5) copies of complete research progress report
               with 5000-10000 words to the UMGSB not later than two (2) weeks before the date of
               presentation, which includes the following:

                   i)  Abstract (500 words in Bahasa Malaysia and English);
                   ii)  Objectives and statement of problem;
                   iii)  The importance and relevance of the study;
                   iv)  Brief and concise literature review;
                   v)  Solid research methods;
                   vi)  Research results obtained so far;
                   vii) Brief bibliography; (APA Format)
                   viii) Research plan that leads to the submission of the thesis
                   ix)  List  of  publications  or  conference  papers  presented  during  the  period  of
                       candidature, (if any);
                   x)  Plagiarism Report (must not exceed 15 percent)

               a)  If Candidature Defence is deemed satisfactory, the student may proceed with the
                   proposed research.
