AA027010 MALAYSIAN POLITICS

Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students are able to:

(1) Examine the political system in Malaysia;
(2) Assess the developments and political issues in
Malaysia; and
(3) Analyze issues concerning the development of nation
state.

Synopsis of Course The first part of the course provides an overview of Malaysian
Contents political system, process and governance. It also discusses
major political developments which have taken place over
the past years until present. The second part of the course
will discuss on selected issues and topics such as political
parties, general elections, the middle class and democracy.

Assessment Weightage Continuous Assessment: 60%
Final Examination: 40 %
