Message from the Vice Chancellor

Dear Campus Community,

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and Salam Sejahtera

I want to send a two-part message to the entire campus community. The first is about
the key facets of our glory for the year of 2024, and the second is about the strategic
continuation of our momentum for this year of 2025.
1. As we left 2024, I want to highlight some of our collective and strategic ventures
and moves that are intended to address long lying issues and also in creating
a new frontier of achievements pillared on the need to have bold and strategic
moves and investments for the right reform and transformation of the university.
2. As outlined in my Amanat 2024, I have presented the three phases of reform and
transformation plans, as well as the strategic focus areas in line with the future
driven demands and needs of the world and civilisations.
3. The challenges that we have faced over the past year are aplenty, but with great
and systemic fortitude, valour and zeal from the entire UM community, we have
managed to pool our resources and strength and to innovate and be at the
forefront in charting new breakthroughs and frontiers for the nation and the world.
4. I am extremely proud with all of our campus community, from students to
researchers, and from our academic community to our supporting staff who have
been in line with our new motto of working hard, working fast, and working with
dedication in enacting positive changes, knowing that the results of our efforts
are reflected in the eventual positive contributions and outcome to our future
generations and the world
