redouble our focus, commitment and synergy in consolidating our aspirations
and action plans in getting the best out of our strategies.
16. The Malaysian Chairmanship of ASEAN for this year presents the most critical and
strategic platform and opening for us to advance as a nation and in shaping the
interests and the future of the region.
17. With the advent of new power and geopolitical equations and changes, how
Malaysia will navigate the complexities and intricacies of this equation and in
moulding the combined outcome and advantage of ASEAN will determine the
trajectory of our shared returns.
18. In this regard, we in UM is primed to play this vital role of producing the needed
academic, intellectual and research expertise and outcomes in shaping this
narrative and in helping the nation to project ASEAN into a new future of hope,
betterment, rejuvenation, inclusivity and futuristic progress.
