               SOA7001 Research Methodology in Environmental Management Technology

               This course is designed to instill knowledge relating to a suitable research methodology, partly as a
               preparation for dissertation. It includes research hypothesis, literature review, data collection and
               analysis,  scientific  writing  and  presentation  of  research  proposal.  This  course  will  also  introduce
               essential  concepts  and  techniques  to  conduct  field  and  laboratory  work  in  environmental
               management  technology.  Topic  will  cover  quality,  criteria,  and  concept  of  the  management,
               measurement and analysis of relevant physical, biological and chemical parameters, using laboratory
               techniques and field research approaches.

               SOA7002 Dissertation

               Student  will  carry  out  individual  research  project  in  any  aspect  of  the  environment  under  the
               supervision  of  at  least  a  lecturer  from  University  of  Malaya.  The  research  should  ideally  be
               completed in two semesters
