FASS Strategic Planning Workshop 2023

FASS organised its Annual Strategic Planning Meeting on proposed plans for the next three years. This was followed

Ties with Kurdistan University
On 13 January 2023, the Faculty was visited by two
academics from the Soran University and Salehadin
University at Iraqi Kurdistan. Dr Muhammed Masih and his
colleague, came with Dato Seri Dzulkarnain Taib, an
alumni of UM (History), visited the Dean and had a very
interesting meeting. Among others, Dr Masih and his
colleague will serve as the bridge for the two institutions
and UM. Subsequently, a follow-up meeting was held on
17 February 2023 with the Senior Management and Deans
of the Soran University.
The Soran University team was led by its President,
Professor Dr Sherwan Sharif Qurtas, Vice President for
Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sirwan Zand, and the Dean
of Arts Faculty, Professor Dr. Karmand Hamad. The Dean of
FASS, Professor Wong led the FASS team. Among others,
the meeting discussed on possible collaboration on
students exchange and academic collaboration, especially
through the two Faculty of Arts.
