National Peace Conference Southeast Asia Conflict By Assoc Prof Dr Roy Anthony Rogers
Without Borders was held in collaboration with IMAN Deputy Director Research and Internationalisation,
Research, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, the British High Asia Europe Institute cum
Commission, the Universiti Malaya represented by Asia Lecturer, Dept of International & Strategic Studies
Europe Institute (AEI), Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
and Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM). Distinguished
Professor Datuk Dr Rajah Rasiah, the Executive Director of
AEI, officiated the conference.
The objective of the conference is to bring awareness to
the conflict in the Southeast Asian region to Malaysia,
understand each other and find best practices from each society groups, legislative council members, legal experts,
other in dealing with the conflict and advocate for students and think tanks such as ASEAN Institute for Peace
sustainable, inclusive solutions. and Reconciliation and Geutanyoe Foundation.
The conference was held on March 14-15 at the AEI The topics discussed include the conflict in Myanmar, the

Auvaiyar Tamil Literature 2023, which was held from 25th
to 26th February 2022. This conference was held at the
UM Chancellor Building.
The theme of the conference is to popularise the Tamil
literature of Auvaiyar. Auvaiyar was a popular Tamil poet
living in the Sangam era which dates back 2300 years ago.

especially for children’s literature.
