Week of Welcome for new Intake of Academic
Session 2022/2023

With the commencement of physical attendees starting
Semester I, 2022/2023, we have welcomed almost 500
new Undergraduate Students to the Faculty of Arts and
Social Sciences through UM-Week of Welcome which was
held on 12 October 2022.

All newly enrolled students were guided by an interactive
registration guidelines and helpful staff regarding their
course registration process. In doing so, most students
have a clear picture and overcome challenges in the
process. In the meantime, we have invited several
distinguished students to share their valuable
accomplishments throughout their studies. Hopefully with Students at the Dataran Sastera listening to instructions given by
these sessions, the students will inspire to achieve more in Mdm Azlina
the future.

The event then continued with the introductory session
with the respective Departments where they were able to
meet and greet their potential lecturers. On the evening
session, all students received a mandate from the Dean,
Professor Datuk Danny Wong Tze Ken and several sessions
with other Faculty members, including the Deputy Dean
(Undergraduate), Deputy Dean (Student Affairs),
Coordinator of Mobility Programme and the Universiti
Malaya Student Union (KMUM) FASS.

Many thanks to all those who have contributed to the
success of the programme. We hope that all new students
of 2022/2023 intake will gain valuable lessons and
experiences throughout their studies in FASS and we wish
them all the best!
