The Faculty of Arts and Social MoU between UM and Fo Guang
Sciences is the anchoring faculty to Shan University Consortium
the signing of an Memorandum of
Understanding between Universiti Malaya and Fo Guang
Shan University Consortium, held at the Cube, FASS on 21
November 2022. The Consortium consists of seven
universities in different parts of the world that are linked to
the Fo Guang Shan Organisation. The MoU provided for the
exchange of students and faculties and research between
UM and members of the Consortium. The MoU was signed
by Professor Yvonne Lim, Associate Vice Chancellor (Global
Engagement) and Professor Chaur-Shin Yung, Chancellor of
the Fo Guang Shan University Consortium, who signed the
document online. The Representative of Taipei Economic
and Cultural Office (TECO), Ms Anne Hung and the Dean,
Professor Danny Wong and Professor Siti Nursheena Mohd FGS MoA and MoU signing
Zain, Director of the International Relations Centre, The MoA was signed by Professor Yvonne Lim and

the visit of a seven members delegation from the
Department of International Relations at FISIP UI on 7
November 2022. The delegation was led by Professor Nurul
Isnaeni the Deputy Dean, Professor Asra Virgianita, the Head
of Department and Ardhitya Eduard Yeremia, Secretary of

faculty. Many issues of common interests were discussed
including joint-research, exchange of faculties and students,
as well as joint-workshops or conferences. Professor Wong
also gave a lecture to students from the International
Relations Department on the topic of “Reflection on
Malaysia- Indonesian Relationship towards ASEAN
