       Collaboration with UNESCO-IBE Researchers
                                             on Education


                    By Dr Florence Kuek                       A   UNESCO-IBE     external   consultant   tasked   with
                                                              conducting  research  on  hybrid  learning  in  schools  in
                                                              Malaysia in the post-pandemic era, Dr Florence presented
                                                              her findings at the Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum
                                                              Studies  and  Instructional  Designing  (APCCSID)  at
                                                              Hiroshima  University  from  26  to  30  October  2022.
                                                              Gathered  on  an  island  that  has  undergone  a  massive
                                                              transformation  after  the  catastrophic  destruction  caused
                                                              by the nuclear bomb during World War II, the researchers
                                                              presented and discussed diverse educational themes on
                                                              sustainable  development  in  the  post-pandemic  era.  Dr
                                                              Kuek  gave  her  presentation  on  Day  2  of  the  conference
                                                              during  the  UNESCO-IBE  Hybrid  Education,  Learning  and

     Visit to Indonesian Universities - Department of
                      Social and Administration Justice

    From the 24 to 27 of October, the Head of Department of
    Social  Administration  and  Justice,  Dr.  Mashitah  Hamidi
    was accompanied by two faculty officers Mr. Hilmi Ahmad
    and  Mrs.  Aimi  Amira  Mohd  Hisham  on  a  visit  to  three
    leading  universities  in  Indonesia,  namely  Universitas
    Indonesia,  Universitas  Gadjah  Mada  and  Universitas
    Padjajaran.  This  visit  was  held  to  discuss  future
    collaborations  as  strategic  partners  in  developing
    curriculum mapping, as well as to allow the students from
    the  Department  of  Social  Administration  and  Justice  to  With Dean and fellow lecturers of Social Welfare Department,
                                                               FISIP Universitas Padjajaran.
    participate  in  exchange  programmes  with  these  three
    universities. .

    The discussions were successful and all three universities
    agreed  to  give  their  full  commitment  in  preparing  the
    necessary  paperwork.  Department  students  of  the
    2021/2022  entry  cohort  are  expected  to  begin  their
    studies  at  the  universities  of  their  choice  in  Semester  II
    2023/2024.  These  exchange  programmes  will  help  the
    students  become  more  competent,  competitive  and
    pragmatic  after  gaining  exposure  abroad  and  thus,    With Dean and fellow lecturers of Social Welfare Department,
