UM is also exploring the establishment of additional PALAPES units to accommodate
the increasing number of students, while discussing strategies to ensure that more
UM PALAPES graduates continue to serve as Reserve Officers or members of the
armed forces after graduation. This will further reinforce the continuity of patriotic
spirit, national service, and leadership among the UM community.
UM will galvanise all its strength, expertise, and intellectual capital to help advance
the nation’s needs and security, reflecting our enduring mission to serve Malaysia not
only through education and innovation, but also through values of patriotism, unity,
and public service.

We are deeply appreciative of YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin for graciously
hosting this courtesy visit and for the ministry’s continued support towards our shared
national goals.

Lumpur, bagi memperkukuh lagi kerjasama strategik antara Universiti Malaya (UM)
dan Kementerian Pertahanan (MINDEF) - satu jalinan penting dalam memperkasa
tanggungjawab bersama terhadap keselamatan, kemajuan dan pertahanan negara.

Perbincangan kami memberi tumpuan kepada perluasan kerjasama dalam bidang
penyelidikan pertahanan, inovasi teknologi dan pembangunan modal insan, termasuk
256 penawaran kursus akademik, program jangka pendek, dan inisiatif penyelidikan
