                Course Learning Outcomes   At the end of the course, students are able to:
                                           1. Discuss the concepts in sports and factors which influence sport participation.
                                           2. Explain the relationship between sports and related social institutions
                                           3. Discuss the issues and future of sport in society.

                Synopsis of Course Contents   This course assesses sport in society and discusses socio-cultural issues, equity and other
                                           issues related to sport. The social, cultural, political and economic significance of sport will be
                                           discussed. Discussion topics will revolve around issues related to structures, functions and
                                           sport organizations in modern society. The situation in Malaysia will be highlighted.

                Course Learning Outcomes   At the end of the course, students are able to:
                                           1.   Describe the basic concepts of business and principles of financial management.
                                           2.   Discuss contemporary theories, methods and principles of accounting and finance.
                                           3.   Apply the conceptual framework of financial accounting, bookkeeping and able to report
                                               and analyse financial statements of profit and non-profit organisations.

                Synopsis of Course Contents   This  course  discusses  the  basic  principles  of  financial  management  and  accounting  in  the
                                           context  of  business  and  non-profit  organization  management  and  environment  as  well  as
                                           economic situation in Malaysia. Students will be exposed to the basic theories, methods and
                                           process of financial and accounting principles as well as the techniques applied for analysis
                                           of financial information in business decision-making and for non-profit organisation.
