                           QUALITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS IN EDUCATION                                  CREDITS

            Sinopsis/Synopsis

            Calon  akan  didedahkan  kepada  beberapa  kaedah  menganalisis  data  kualitatif.  Pelajar  akan
            diperkenalkan dengan apa yang dianggap data; sumber data kualitatif, proses dan teknik menganalisis
            data semasa dan selepas pengutipan data; pengurusan data; tahap-tahap penganalisisan (mengkod dan
            mengkategorikan  data;  mengwujudkan  tema  dan  membina  teori),  penulisan  dan  persembahan  hasil
            penyelidikan kualitatif. Pelajar juga diberi peluang menggunakan perisian komputer untuk penganalisisan
            data kualitatif; dan membincangkan isu-isu dalam penggunaan perisian komputer.

            Candidates will be exposed to various methods of qualitative data analysis. Students will be exposed to what counts
            as  data;  processes  and  techniques  of  data  analysis  during  data  collection  and  after  data  collection;  data
            management; levels of analysis (coding and categorizing data, generation of themes and theory-building); writing-up
            and  presenting  qualitative  research.  Students will  also  be  given  the  opportunity  to;  use  of  computer  software for
            qualitative data analysis and discuss issues related to the usage of qualitative data analysis software.
