                           COMPARATIVE STUDIES IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT                         CREDITS

            Sinopsis/Synopsis

            Kursus  ini  bertujuan  untuk  meneliti  dan  menganalisis  secara  kritis  bidang  pengurusan  pendidikan
            komparatif dalam era globalisasi.  Sebahagian besar daripada kursus ini akan tertumpu pada penelitian
            dan penganalisisan pelbagai kaedah ataupun mod pengurusan pendidikan yang dilaksanakan di pelbagai
            sistem ataupun negara.  Faktor-faktor sejarah, budaya, politik, sosial, dan ekonomi yang mempengaruhi
            amalan  pelbagai  jenis  sistem  pengurusan  pendidikan  juga  akan  dikaji.    Akhir  sekali,  isu-isu  yang
            membawa impak kepada sistem pengurusan pendidikan global seperti multikulturalisme, nasionalisme,
            pengantarabangsaan  pendidikan,  impak  globalisasi  atas  pengurusan  dibincangkan.  Dalam  membuat
            kajian  komparatif,  para  pelajar  akan  merancang  dan  menyediakan  satu  sistem  pengurusan  yang
            ‘kompetitif’ dan saling melengkapi (‘complementar’)   yang sesuai dari Negara

            In this course participants will explore and examine critically the field of comparative education management in the
            light of increasing globalization.  The major part of the course will embark on the exploration and analysis of the
            different methods or modes of educational management as practiced in different systems or countries.  They will also
            explore  the  impact  of  the  historical,  cultural,  political,  and  social  factors  that  may  have  influenced  the  kind  of
            educational management that is being practiced.  Finally, participants will discuss aspects such as multiculturalism,
            nationalism,  internationalization  of  education,  and  globalization  on  educational  management.  In  the  light  of  this
            comparative  analysis  and  knowledge,  the  participants  will  plan  and  prepare  for  a  more  competitive  and
            complementary management system that may best serve the interest of their respective countries.
