designing it. At Universiti Malaya, you were trained not only to excel academically, but
to understand that true innovation is that which uplifts the human condition.

Beyond technology, the world also faces immense human suffering: over 10 million die 239
each year from preventable diseases, more than 700 million live in extreme poverty,
and 1.6 billion endure unsafe urban living conditions. At the same time, over 1 billion
people are now aged 60 and above, while declining birth rates and mental health
crises threaten long-term global stability.
These realities remind us that civilisation remains deeply unequal - and that your
generation now holds the key to new solutions, not through technology alone, but
through empathy, values and moral courage.
To our graduates, I leave you with this call:

Step forward with courage. Lead with values. Let your success heal, uplift and
transform.

The world does not merely need smart leaders - it needs good ones.

And finally, behind every graduate stands a family of sacrifice, prayer and unconditional
love. Today belongs to our graduates - but it is equally the victory of those who raised
them.

You carry digital intelligence, moral bravery and a truly global outlook.

You speak the language of technology - and the language of humanity.
And this rare combination is exactly what the world now needs.
