10. It is also a delight to see that the Rumah Universiti revival project has finally come
to fruition, which reflects the true meaning and significance of the occasion and
the impact to the community.
11. I want to express gratitude to all the hardworking parties who have been working
tirelessly in ensuring that this is completed, and their efforts are truly important.
12. Special recognition and gratitude to the Portfolio of Development under Professor
Ramesh Singh, who has been instrumental in finally getting this project to turn
into a success, with the hard work put in.
13. Rumah Universiti remains our pride and legacy and we will continue to preserve
and maintain our hard assets for the benefit of all. This opening of Rumah Universiti
marks a new transformational shift in our overall development direction.
14. I want to emphasise the pride of our PALAPES UM, where I attended the Istiadat
Perbarisan Pentauliahan DiRaja dan Pengurniaan Watikah Tauliah Pegawai Kadet
PALAPES Universiti Awam, a superb and grand military display where 1,435
PALAPES cadet officers from 20 public universities were commissioned and also
Majlis Commissioning Ball: Pentauliahan Pegawai Muda Palapes UM Universiti
Malaya Siri-42, where our very own officers of PALAPES were being officially
designated and appointed in a meaningful and highly memorable event.
15. His Royal Highness, Sultan Nazrin Shah conveyed that the PALAPES members
have proven their readiness and strength to serve in the Malaysian Armed Forces
through consistent and rigorous physical training, mental fortitude, resilience-
building, and the capacity in overcoming various challenges.
