(iv) the course taken previously must be from a programme
that has been accredited/recognised by an authorising
body of the nation concerned;
(v) The maximum credit that can be transferred are as follows:
Category Explaination Credit Limit
(A) Horizontal (aa) Transfer of credit with grade for No limit
credit transfer students that changed their
programme of study in the
University
(bb) Transfer of credit with grade for Not exceeding one third
students undergoing the Student of the overall total
Exchange Programme credits for the
programme of study
(cc) Transfer of credit without grade for
a course where the qualifying
level is equal from the other
instituition or university
(B) Vertical credit (aa) Transfer of credit without grade Not exceeding one third
transfer for qualifications of Professional of the overall total
Certificate / Diploma credits for the
programme of study
(bb) Transfer of credit without grade
for qualifications of Advanced
Diploma
(f) Notwithstanding anything stated in paragraph (e)(v) above, for the
purposes of graduation, the maximum number of credits that can
be transferred from outside institution/university shall not exceed
1/3 of the overall total credits of the programme of study.
(g) Notwithstanding anything stated in paragraphs (b) and (d) above,
a course that is taken during a Student Exchange Programme that
is not listed in the Degree Studies Structure can be considered
for transfer of credit with grade subject to the course concerned
having obtained the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty
of a student programme of study as to whether the course:
(i) replaces any External Faculty Elective Course and/or any
Faculty Elective Course. The grade and the grade point will
be taken in the calculation of the GPA and CGPA and the
course credit concerned will be taken into account for the
completion of his degree.
