conducted for a period exceeding one semester and completed
within two consecutive semesters.
(4) Transfer of Credit
(a) Transfer of credit can be categorised as follows:-
(i) Transfer of credit with grade.
(ii) Transfer of credit without grade.
(b) Transfer of credit with grade
(i) “Transfer of credit with grade” means the transfer of credit
together with grades from a course of equivalent level of
qualification (horizontal) for a student currently undergoing
a programme of study.
(ii) A course that is approved for transfer of credit with grade
will be given a grade that is made equivalent in accordance
to the grading scheme of the University and credit as
determined by the University for the course concerned.
(iii) The credit obtained together with the grade point for the
approved course shall be taken into account in the
calculation of the student’s GPA and CGPA. Credit for the
course concerned will be taken into account for the
purpose of completion of his degree.
(iv) For the purpose of transfer of credit with grade the student
must have completed the course and achieved the
required competency for the course that is applied for.
(v) Applications must be made to the Dean of the Faculty of
the programme of study not later than Friday of the fourth
lecture week of the Normal Semester in accordance to the
procedure prescribed by the University. Applications
received beyond the specified period will be considered in
the subsequent semester.
(c) Transfer of credit without grade
(i) “Transfer of credit without grade” means transfer of credit
without carrying the grade obtained from a previous course
which are :
(A) of lower qualification level (vertical) for a student
that has completed his studies successfully; and/or
