For the purpose of this paragraph, the course must fulfill
the conditions stated in paragraph (e)(i),(ii) and (iv) above;
or
(ii) does not replace any course which has been prescribed in
his Degree Studies Structure. The course concerned will
be recorded in the student’s academic transcript. The
grade and the grade point concerned will be taken into
account in the calculation of GPA and CGPA but the
course credit will not be taken into account for the
completion of his degree.
For the purposes of this paragraph, a course must fulfill the
requirements stated in paragraph (e)(i) and (iv) above and
will be given credit value that has been made equivalent
with the calculation of the notional hour of the University.
(h) The transfer of credit for professional programmes are subject to
the regulations as determined by the respective professional
bodies.
(i) Applications must be submitted together with:
(i) proof of processing fee payment at the prescribed rate.
This fee is non-refundable; and
(ii) compulsory supporting documentation which is the course
learning outcomes, syllabus/course content and the
grading scheme from other institution/university.
(j) Application for the transfer of credit must be submitted to the
Senate for its consideration after obtaining the recommendation
from the designated special committee.
(k) A course that has been approved for credit transfer cannot be
withdrawn by the student.
(l) The decision on the student application for transfer of credit will
be communicated by the Registrar/Dean of the Faculty of the
programme of study.
(5) Course Exemption
(a) “Course exemption” means an exemption from registering and
pursuing a course that is granted to a student based on a course
content that is equivalent to the course being applied for with
proof of knowledge and skill.
