nilai kemanusiaan, kerana universiti
yang benar-benar agung bukan sahaja
menghasilkan ilmu, tetapi membentuk jiwa
dan memberi makna kepada kemajuan.

Harapan kami besar agar UM Immersive
120 dan Galeri Universiti Malaya menjadi
sumber inspirasi, memperkukuh jati diri
dan kebersamaan keluarga besar UM,
serta dimanfaatkan secara berterusan
sebagai platform pembelajaran dan
keterlibatan bermakna. Insya-Allah,
kedua-duanya akan terus mengukuhkan
kedudukan UM sebagai institusi peneraju
- berteras tradisi, diperkasa inovasi, dan
dipandu visi masa hadapan.

Today marks another defining milestone in the 120-year journey of Universiti Malaya.
I extend my deepest gratitude and respect to His Royal Highnesses Duli Yang Maha
Mulia Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni
Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah, for gracing the Launch
of UM Immersive 120 and the visit to the Universiti Malaya Gallery - an honour of
profound significance to our entire university community.

UM Immersive 120 is more than an exhibition; it is a journey through time - bringing
to life the spirit, intellect, and soul of Universiti Malaya through immersive visuals, 229
audio, and digital storytelling. It reflects a university firmly rooted in tradition, yet bold
in shaping the future - honouring history while building vision.
Through this immersive approach, visitors do not merely observe history; they
experience UM’s legacy in a holistic and compelling way. Nationally, this initiative
stands as a first-of-its-kind by a public university, affirming UM’s role as an innovation
pioneer and a new benchmark in institutional storytelling.
The launch of the Universiti Malaya Gallery further reinforces our belief that academic
excellence must go hand in hand with cultural appreciation, aesthetics, and humanistic
values. Here, art, heritage, history, and scholarship converge - because a truly great
university does not only generate knowledge; it shapes character and gives meaning
to progress.

We are confident that UM Immersive 120 and the Universiti Malaya Gallery will inspire
pride, strengthen identity and unity within the UM family, and serve as enduring
platforms for learning and engagement - cementing UM’s position as a leading
institution, anchored in tradition, empowered by innovation, and guided by a forward-
looking vision.
