IRSOC Social Gathering
On 12 January 2022, IRSOC held a social gathering at the
Department of IR. Social gatherings for clubs and potlucks
are great ways for students with shared interests or
backgrounds to come together and build relationships.
These events can be a lot of fun, but they also require
some planning and organisation to make sure everything
runs smoothly. We want all batches in the department of IR
to engage and get to know each other. Then, comes the
decision on the format for the event. Will it be a potluck or
will you provide the food? Yes, it is a potluck with a variety
of foods since our students of IR come from different races
and backgrounds.
Consider setting a theme for the event to add some fun
and excitement. We have karaoke, games and sharing
sessions with all and mingle freely while talking about
studying and hobbies. We have organised some activities
to help students get to know each other such as games,
a trivia contest, or simply providing some conversation
starters. Finally, we have our photo session with all
attendees to thank everyone for coming and encourage
them to come to future events.
