developed in-house by the Malaysian polytechnic to be used by all polytechnics in
Malaysia. Some of the main features of CIDOS are:
1. Online quiz
2. Submission of assignment
3. Uploading/downloading notes
4. Forum
5. Chats
The development, maintenance and updating of CIDOS is always be the number one of
priority of JPPKK to ensure that the e-learning process runs smoothly and the system is
easily accessible to the user. Prior to this, the e-learning access index (ICeP) is used to
monitor the effectiveness of CIDOS throughout every semester. An analysis of the
effectiveness of of CIDOS is also carried out for continuous improvement. In addition,
the key performance indicator (KPI) related to the effectiveness and achievement of the
e-learning process are also set and monitored yearly.
System Administration
The CIDOS platform is solely managed by JPPKK in Putrajaya while the server is
situated in Cyberjaya. All 33 polytechnics in Malaysia started implementing CIDOS in
2011 and each polytechnic was assigned a coordinator to ensure the e-learning process
using CIDOS runs efficiently. These coordinators are responsible for making sure that
the KPI of each polytechnic is achieved. They are also given tasks to organize various
activities to ensure all lecturers can use CIDOS as their main LMS.

Flipped Classroom
The e-learning process for PKS is conducted in the form of blended learning where the
method of meeting students face-to-face with lecturers is still part of the implementation
method. Assessment of courses, quizzes and uploads of notes use CIDOS but tutorials
are conducted at the classrooms.
System Intergration
CIDOS does not interfere with other systems or software.
